She got her name put on in the eleventh hour. Tony (the Graphics Guy) showed up at closing time so we had him do it after the yard closed and put the launch off till the fourth.
We started the engine and away we went around noon. We had winds of 15-20 kts on the nose all day with 3-4 foot waves and swells up to 6 feet. Mr. Toad Wild Ride for sure. Worth every minute.
We headed south by southwest till 1830 and pulled up to the dock here at Kennebunkport, ME.
We motored around the Security Zone they have set up around the Presidents Residence and went down the channel to find refuge and hot showers at Chicks Marina next to a 65 foot motor launch. Small but proud, that's what we are.
We just took our showers, had ham and cheese sandwiches and are listening to the ducks quack and chuckle in the background.
All, in all a pretty good day.
