Celebration!

Yes! It's true. There is a boat on a mooring in Casco Bay Maine that belongs to us. I have the Bill of Sale so I know it happened but it still is hard to believe. The was a time yesterday when a tiny little smile broke out and it was there for a while.

I can't allow myself to get really excited until I get the sails installed and clean up the cockpit and all the gear stowed away. Gordon had been pretty helpful acting as my backup brain.

The surveyor wants to buy the radar system so I am going to get a break on the survey price. The survey is like a home buyers inspection. He inspects the structure and systems of the boat and recommends any repairs that may necessary for the safety of the boat.

We are heading out to breakfast and then down to the boat. More later..........

New Beginning

Wow! I'm really here. It's kinda hard to believe that is happening after so long. What took Mark and me a day and a half in the truck was only a 2 hour flight!

The first flight only had five passengers and three crew. I told the stewardess not to go to sleep, half of us might disapear like in the "Langoliers", after all we were going to Maine!

I have a great room overlooking the northern Maine version of a tidal Marsh. I'm the only one here, the front desk said this place will be sold out on Friday

I am reminded of the story of the skipper and his wife who have found themselves in a predicament on the water. The wife says "quick, do something nautical", suddenly the husband reaches deep into his pocket and pulls out his credit card!

This Old Blog

Cynical Girl was a dream. Ever since we sold Obsession back in 1995 there has been a hole in my heart. Not like the loss of a person or beloved furry companion but a void none the less.

She is becoming a reality very quickly. I know she is becoming real because keeping her dream alive is starting to cost me REAL money. LOL. Years of looking online at yachting sites and dreaming about what might be has finally produced a result.

A bid has been offered, a check has been sent, and the survey started a few days ago.
